Scrubs in the City – Marrakesh Style!

I was fortunate enough to attend the annual Scrubs in the City gala, which has raised millions since its inception, thanks to LadiesFund. It’s an initiative from the Dawood Global Foundation and promotes women entrepreneurship and financial security

This year, over 1,000 guests attended #SKScrubs at the Evergreen Brickworks for a Marrakesh-inspired theme! I was living out my Aladdin Disney dreams with the exquisite lanterns, carpets and decor!

With a no-black dress code, it was a plethora of colours, with gorgeous outfits from attendees, and traditional Moroccan cuisine.

Here are a few photos of my experience!

A friendly camel greeted us before entry.

The massive arch gate!

Tea anyone?

Samples of the cuisine from the various food stations!

The fire eater got the dancing started!

Glasses and flat shoes. The end of a fun night!

The event raised $650,000 for SickKids and went towards cutting-edge technologies, building new operating suites and more!
