Tour and Lunch with the Brampton Fire Department

Of course it’s fun to win the “big” prizes, but sometimes it’s all about the “experience”…something that money can’t necessarily buy. I recently had the opportunity to spend the day with the Brampton Fire department. Bright and early, we met at the Fire/Life Safety Education Centre. Numerous school groups visit throughout the year learning about fire safety in the home. We then headed to a 911 dispatch to see how that process works…and arrived in style with Sparky!

From there, we visited Brampton’s last fire pole and of course had a photo-op.

After a pizza lunch, it was time for the main event…. trying on the gear! It’s a lot heavier than I thought it was going to be.

We also toured the fire station and fire truck to see all of its equipment. It’s quite an impressive vehicle!

Thanks again to the Brampton Fire department for a memorable day! Click here to learn more information about fire safety and carbon monoxide.
