I’ve had the pleasure of attending the Open Roof Festival the past 2 weeks and just had to write about it! Located at 99 Sudbury Street, in Liberty Village, it’s a fantastic way to watch a film! Not only do you get to see a movie, there’s music beforehand as well! Beer and wine can be purchased from Amsterdam Brewery with Cool City Oyster Yard offering food to buy. It’s also a great date night and is more fun than a typical dinner and movie outing.
What I love is that Open Roof Festival is a not for profit which is mainly run by volunteers. It even highlights independent filmmakers and artists from Canada (as an FYI, The Grand Seduction is fantastic!)
Although the Open Roof Festival began in 2010, there’s only 1 film left this summer. It’s “Chef” on Thursday, August 21st.
