The Hazelton Hotel

For the first time, I experienced the luxury of a 5-star hotel! After winning a Twitter contest from CTV’s The Social, I received a romance package at The Hazelton Hotel in Toronto!

After dropping the car off with our complimentary valet parking and checking-in, we eagerly went up to the third floor with eager anticipation…and were not disappointed!

Upon arrival, fresh rose petals were displayed on the floor leading to flowers, champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries!

Here are a few more pictures of the room. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable and there was more than enough space.

The glorious bathroom was a personal highlight. Heated floors, rainfall shower head, a huge bathtub and an Electric Mirror TV were just some of the notable features.

There was more than enough closet space and mirrors (for all of those celebs getting ready for the press junket)

Want to open the curtains? Don’t worry there’s a button for that.

The room also had complimentary water, coffee, pop and fruit.

We obviously had to explore the hotel and my mom loved the salt-water pool. I was a huge fan of the eucalyptus steam room. There’s also a great looking gym but I had forgotten my running shoes. I felt like Kevin McAllister in Home Alone 2 who lived it up at the Plaza Hotel.

Not surprisingly, Drake, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga (just to name a few!) have frequented The Hazelton Hotel in the past year.

The next morning, we had a free breakfast at Mark McEwan’s “One” restaurant. It felt like a who’s who in Yorkville as we people-watched all of the fashionable brunch guests.

Finally, we had a $300 spa credit. I chose a hot stone massage and my mom opted for a facial. Although it was only a one-night stay, it definitely felt like a mini-vacation! The Hazelton Hotel is first-class and I would certainly recommend it!
